We believe a photograph should contain an essential truth - an inherent beauty or message that speaks about the people, places, and products we photograph. From the simplest and most complex of subjects, and either on personal or commercial assignments, our mission is to capture and convey this truth in a still or moving image. A Global Perspective![]() We are based downtown, in the beautiful city of Vancouver, British Columbia, and have photographed magazine editorials and advertising campaigns, as well as having worked with talented artists - from all over the world. Our artistic inspiration is drawn from various cultures and perspectives, and we realize our vision through constantly refining our tools and techniques to deliver the highest level of production value to our clients. An Editorial for various sportswear brands. They told me to make it look 'edgy'. On location, it was raining that day...We had to re-create the effect of a sunny day using our portable strobe lighting system. In the studio, "Lighting is crucial!", the Beauty Editor says, particularly when we're working with Shu Uemura's top make-up artist Kakuyasu Uchiide. This beauty image has absolutely zero retouching - it was a time when we got things right in-camera. An hour before I shot this image, I had no idea what this location looked like, that the wind would be strong enough to blow the lights off the roof, how the models and clothes would work together, or how they should be directed. The beautiful moment in a shoot is when all the elements - the models, clothes, location, lighting start working together through direction, just like a robbery in an Ocean's 11/12 (not 13!) movie. |
